Job Overview

Life Peglerae Hospital is recruiting seven Registered Nurses to join their Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. Reporting to the ICU Unit Manager, these positions focus on delivering high-quality patient care aligned with Life Healthcare’s policies and healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Comply with internal policies, ensure quality management systems are followed, and adhere to ICU standards.
• Patient Advocacy: Advocate for patient needs by working with the medical team, motivating case acuity, and informing doctors of any limitations.
• Team Collaboration: Communicate and work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team, provide training, and maintain proper skills mix.
• Cost Management: Manage stock and monitor staff hours and leave in line with policies.
• Infection Control and SHEQ Compliance: Maintain a safe environment, adhere to infection control measures, and report incidents to the SHEQ Coordinator.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Establish positive relationships with patients, families, doctors, and colleagues, ensuring doctor’s requests are executed post-patient rounds.
• Equipment Management: Verify equipment functionality daily and provide staff training on specialized devices when necessary.
• Record-Keeping: Ensure accurate and legally compliant patient records.

Requirements

• Qualifications: Relevant Degree or Diploma in Nursing with ICU experience; SANC registration.
• Skills: Ability to work independently and interdependently, strong interpersonal skills, and solid organizational skills.
• Additional: Adaptability to work under pressure, flexi-hours, and call-system shifts.
