Position Overview
Life Healthcare is seeking an Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner to join the team for a full-time role, working 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing quality occupational health services that exceed customer expectations, contributing to the physical, psychological, and social well-being of workers in a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Occupational Health Program Management:
- Maintain and implement occupational health programs to monitor employees’ health status through surveillance programs.
- Provide information and advice to clients to control and minimize health risks and hazards at the workplace.
- Emergency Procedures Coordination:
- Coordinate emergency health procedures in the workplace to ensure employee safety and quick response in case of incidents.
- Administrative and Budget Management:
- Work within the allocated budget to ensure smooth administration of occupational health services.
- Ensure that all services meet professional and quality standards, adhering to Life Health Solutions and client requirements.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 standards, including both internal and external audits.
- Deliver high-quality primary healthcare services in line with set standards.
- Client Satisfaction and Continuous Improvement:
- Foster client satisfaction by continually improving services and adding value through efficient health management.
Requirements
- Education and Qualifications:
- General Nursing Qualification.
- Occupational Health Nursing B Tech or Diploma with 2–3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Registration with SANC, with additional Occupational Health Nursing qualifications appearing on the current SANC receipt.
- Certificate in Dispensing and Primary Health Care (PHC).
- Certificates in Spirometry, Audiometry (with SASOHN registration), Vision Screening, and HIV Counselling and Testing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate.
- Experience & Skills:
- Practical experience in the provision of Occupational and Primary Health Care Services.
- Knowledge in employee relations, administration, and strong communication skills.
- Computer literacy is essential.
- Ability to work with initiative, delivering quality outputs and a customer-focused approach.
