Who We Are Looking For

To thrive in this position, you should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in maintenance. Communication skills in both English and Afrikaans will be essential, as you will be interacting with staff and management regularly.

Additionally, possessing a valid driver’s license and having your own vehicle is highly advantageous, enabling you to manage off-site duties and responsibilities as needed.

• Transportation: A valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle are required for this role, allowing you to handle off-site duties when necessary.

Primary Responsibilities

As a General Maintenance Employee, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Responding to Requests: You will be the main point of contact for the property owners regarding any maintenance requests. This involves receiving instructions and ensuring they are executed efficiently.
• Stock Management: You’ll be responsible for receiving and managing incoming stock, ensuring that all materials required for maintenance are adequately supplied.
• Laboratory Equipment Maintenance: Part of your role will include cleaning and maintaining laboratory equipment to ensure optimal functionality and cleanliness.
• Property Tidiness: Maintaining the overall cleanliness and tidiness of the property will be one of your key responsibilities. This includes routine cleaning, organizing spaces, and ensuring all areas are welcoming.
• Courier Services Coordination: You will manage requirements for courier services, including handling collections and drop-offs as needed.
• Consumables Purchasing: You’ll be responsible for purchasing necessary cleaning consumables and other supplies required to keep the property in good order.
• Staff Support: Any additional requirements needed by staff members for client-facing activities will fall under your purview. Your ability to anticipate needs and act proactively will be essential.
• Garden Maintenance: Ensuring that the garden is well maintained is also part of your role. This includes landscaping, plant care, and upkeep of outdoor spaces.

Compensation
