Position Overview

In this role, you will take the lead in supervising and coordinating operations on the workshop floor and during on-site installations. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring that projects meet their specifications, timelines, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities

  7. Safety Training and Operations: Take responsibility for staff safety training and on-site operations. You will promote a culture of safety and compliance, ensuring that all team members adhere to safety protocols.
  8. Weekly Progress Meetings: Attend weekly scope of work meetings with the project management team to consolidate project status updates and address any challenges that arise during the commissioning and installation phases.
  9. Support Quality Systems: Uphold the standards of the Jendamark Quality System (JQS), ensuring that all operations align with the company’s commitment to quality and excellence.
  10. General Management: Provide support for the company’s Code of Conduct and adhere to all relevant policies. As a supervisor, you will set an example for your team by promoting ethical practices and a positive work environment.

Qualifications and Experience Required

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Educational Background: A formal tertiary education in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or Project Management is required. This educational foundation will equip you with the technical knowledge necessary for this role.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in the automation industry is essential. Additionally, candidates should have 5 to 10 years of supervisory experience, along with relevant experience in on-site operations.
  • Customer Liaison Skills: Previous experience in customer liaison is a must. You should be comfortable interacting with clients and managing their expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • International Travel Experience: Experience with international travel is advantageous, as it may be necessary for certain projects and client interactions.
  • Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English is required (reading, writing, and speaking). Knowledge of Afrikaans is optional, while German language skills will be considered a significant advantage.
  • Driver’s License: A valid Code 8 driver’s license is required for this position, as it may involve travel to various project sites.
