Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Assistance: Respond promptly to requests from your Team Lead. This includes providing necessary information and completing tasks related to various projects, showcasing your ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  2. Query Management: Address queries assigned to you through Freshservice and handle additional inquiries from different brands. Your excellent communication skills will be vital in ensuring that all questions are resolved promptly.
  3. Data Compilation: Collect and compile necessary financial data and reports to support your team’s needs. Your attention to detail will ensure that all information provided is accurate and comprehensive.
  4. Bank Reconciliation: Prepare bank reconciliations by reviewing transactions and uploading bank statements to SharePoint. This process is essential for maintaining financial accuracy and integrity within the organization.
  5. Resolving Discrepancies: Follow up on and resolve all reconciling items to ensure that records are accurate. Your investigative skills will be key in identifying discrepancies and finding solutions.
  6. Handling Unallocated Accounts: Prepare reconciliations for unallocated accounts, ensuring that all transactions are correctly assigned. This includes investigating and resolving unallocated transactions in collaboration with both brands and the GSS accounts payable department.
  7. Correction Journals: As needed, prepare correction journals to adjust any discrepancies in the accounts. Your meticulous approach will help maintain accurate financial records.
  8. Weekly Transaction Reports: Compile a weekly list of unidentified transactions for your Team Lead to follow up with the bank. This proactive approach will assist in maintaining financial transparency.
  9. International Payments: Request the clearing of international payments as part of your responsibilities, ensuring that the financial processes run smoothly and efficiently.
  10. SMS List Preparation: Prepare SMS lists as required, supporting communication and financial processes within the team.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Completed Matric: A high school diploma is essential as it provides a foundational understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • BCom in Accounting or Related Field: A degree in accounting or a closely related field is crucial. This educational background equips you with the necessary knowledge to handle financial tasks effectively.
