Job Overview

Life Peglerae Hospital is seeking four qualified Registered Nurses to join their Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. Reporting to the ICU Unit Manager, the successful candidates will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care aligned with Life Healthcare’s strategic objectives and healthcare regulations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Care: Ensure all nursing activities align with company policies, quality management systems, and ICU standards.
  • Advocacy: Advocate for patients by communicating with the medical team and managing case requirements.
  • Team Management: Collaborate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team, provide training, and maintain appropriate skill mix in the ICU.
  • Cost Management: Adhere to policies on stock use, staff hours, and leave management to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Infection Control & SHEQ Compliance: Promote a safe and healthy environment by following infection control standards and reporting incidents to the SHEQ Coordinator.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Foster effective relationships with patients, families, doctors, and other medical staff.
  • Equipment Management: Ensure equipment is functional and provide training on specialized equipment when necessary.
  • Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate, legally compliant patient records.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Relevant Degree or Diploma in Nursing, ICU experience, and SANC registration.
  • Skills: Ability to work independently and collaboratively, excellent interpersonal skills, and strong organizational capabilities.
  • Additional: Flexibility to work under pressure, as well as on a rotating schedule with flexi-hours and on-call responsibilities.
