Job Overview

Life The Glynnwood Hospital is currently looking for a dedicated and registered Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary to join their Theatre unit, reporting to Unit Manager Marilyn De Meyer. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care while meeting the company’s strategic goals and adhering to relevant healthcare regulations.


Key Responsibilities

Quality Management

  • Participate in Q programs and complete Q evaluator cards as required.
  • Ensure induction training and participate in review and ward meetings.
  • Adhere to infection control standards, PPE usage, and overall safety protocols.

Operational Efficiency

  • Maintain accurate stock administration and report patient movements during discharge or transfer.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment.
  • Work flexible hours to minimize agency costs and assist other departments as needed.

Patient Care

  • Complete tasks to enhance patient care and comfort in line with nursing care plans.
  • Maintain patient hygiene and safety, and follow protocols to aid wound and fracture healing.
  • Monitor and record patient fluid intake, and assist with surgical and diagnostic procedures.

Customer Relations

  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Support new staff through the orientation program.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Registered as an Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary with SANC.
  • Experience: Experience in various specialties is advantageous.
  • Skills: Computer proficiency, strong communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Other: Valid driver’s license and ability to travel. Familiarity with private healthcare industry standards is a plus.
