Position Overview
Life Health Solutions Offsite Clinic in Steelpoort, Limpopo, is seeking an Occupational Health Technician to support the Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner in delivering exceptional healthcare services. This role is pivotal to ensuring the safety, health, and wellness of employees by adhering to high standards of occupational health practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Health Screenings: Conduct audiometry, spirometry, urine testing, and multi-drug testing.
- Health Education: Provide health-related information to employees to help minimize workplace health risks.
- Clinic Administration: Assist in filing, data capturing, and maintain administrative duties to meet clinic needs.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure legal compliance, adhere to Life Occupational Health’s quality standards, and participate in Quality Management System (QMS) audits.
- Financial Management: Manage services within budgetary constraints.
Requirements
- Education: Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary qualification with current SANC registration.
- Certification: Competency in audiometry (with SASOHN registration), spirometry, vision screening, multi-drug testing, and HIV counseling (recommended).
- Experience: Previous experience in administration, employee relations, and occupational health in a mining environment (advantageous).
- Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, customer orientation, teamwork, problem-solving, resilience, and computer literacy.
- Other: Must have own transport and accommodation.
