Position Overview

Life Bayview Private Hospital is looking for 4 Enrolled Nurses to join their Surgical Ward team. The role will involve conducting nursing activities that ensure quality patient care and adhere to Life Healthcare’s policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Patient Care

• Conduct nursing activities to meet the required standards of quality patient care, complying with SANC regulations, relevant legislation, and Life Healthcare policies and procedures.
• Ensure all health, safety, and infection control standards are maintained for a safe patient environment.
• Provide continuous education to patients regarding their care.
• Build effective relationships with patients, doctors, and other medical personnel to ensure the highest quality of care.

Resource & Equipment Management

• Utilize resources effectively to provide the best care while managing costs.
• Ensure proper maintenance of equipment and facilities used in the surgical ward.

Record Keeping

• Maintain accurate records for all patients and nursing activities according to legal and professional standards.

Requirements

• Qualification: Enrolled Nurse qualification.
• Registration: Must be registered with SANC.
• Work Hours: Must be available to work shifts, in accordance with hospital operational needs.
• Experience: Understanding of the private healthcare industry, including its challenges and role players, is advantageous.
• Technical Skills: Computer proficiency is an advantage.
