About the Role:
As the Cook at our game lodge, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our guests have a memorable and exceptional culinary experience. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare and cook delicious meals for our guests, but that’s not all. You will also be involved in supporting other lodge operations, making this a dynamic and versatile role. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare a Variety of Meals:
- You will be in charge of preparing a range of dishes that cater to the diverse tastes and preferences of our guests. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you’ll be tasked with delivering flavorful and well-presented meals that reflect the quality and hospitality we are known for.
- Creativity in meal preparation is a must, as you will be using seasonal ingredients and adapting to the needs of the lodge’s remote setting. Familiarity with game meat and locally sourced produce is a plus.
- Maintain Kitchen Cleanliness and Organization:
- A clean, organized kitchen is essential in maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. You will be responsible for keeping the kitchen spotless, ensuring that all equipment and tools are properly maintained, and adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- This involves regularly cleaning cooking surfaces, storage areas, and making sure all supplies are well-stocked and properly stored.
- Support Administrative Tasks:

What We Are Looking For:
To succeed in this role, you’ll need to have a passion for cooking and hospitality, along with the ability to handle the challenges of working in a remote lodge environment. We are seeking someone who is:
- Experienced in Cooking: Ideally, you have prior experience as a cook, particularly in a remote lodge, resort, or similar setting. Your culinary skills should be top-notch, with a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Organized and Efficient: You must have the ability to manage multiple tasks at once, from meal preparation to kitchen maintenance, without sacrificing quality or attention to detail.
- Great at Communication: You’ll be working with both staff and guests, so strong communication skills are key. You should be able to give clear instructions, receive feedback, and collaborate effectively with the rest of the team.
- Self-Motivated: While teamwork is important, there will be times when you’ll need to work independently. We are looking for someone who can take initiative, work efficiently without supervision, and manage time effectively.
