Key Responsibilities

In this role, your day-to-day activities will include:

1. Team Leadership and Development

• Lead, motivate, and inspire your team to achieve high standards of performance. You will be responsible for recruiting, training, and mentoring staff, ensuring that each team member feels valued and empowered.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations to provide constructive feedback, recognizing achievements and identifying areas for improvement.

2. Exceptional Customer Service

• Create a welcoming environment for customers, ensuring that their shopping experience is enjoyable and memorable. You will set the standard for customer service excellence and ensure that all team members follow suit.
• Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, resolving any issues that may arise to maintain customer satisfaction.

3. Operational Excellence

• Oversee the daily operations of the store, including inventory management, merchandising, and visual displays. You will ensure that the store is well-organized, stocked, and presented in a way that attracts customers.
• Implement and maintain efficient operational processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs while maintaining high-quality service.

4. Sales and Financial Management

• Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities for improvement. You will develop and execute sales strategies that drive revenue growth and profitability.
• Manage budgets and financial reports, ensuring that the store meets its financial targets and operates within budgetary constraints.

5. Market Awareness

• Stay informed about current clothing trends and outdoor lifestyle products to ensure that the store’s offerings meet customer needs and preferences. Your insights will help shape inventory decisions and marketing strategies.
• Analyze competitor activity and market trends to identify opportunities for differentiation and improvement.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

• Retail Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience in a retail environment is essential. This experience should ideally include a background in managing teams and driving sales.
• Educational Background: A Grade 12 certificate is required to ensure a solid foundational knowledge of business and retail practices.
• Clean Record: Candidates must have no criminal record, reflecting a commitment to integrity and professionalism in the workplace.
• Computer Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Office and other relevant applications are necessary for managing reports, inventory, and financial data.
• Industry Knowledge: A good understanding of current clothing trends and outdoor lifestyle products is vital to connecting with our customer base and making informed decisions about merchandise.

Working Hours

This position offers a balanced work schedule, with hours as follows:

• Monday to Friday: 09:00 AM – 05:00 PM
• Saturday: 09:00 AM – 01:00 PM

You will have Sundays off, allowing you to enjoy your weekends and recharge for the week ahead.
