Key Responsibilities:

As a Guest Experience Liaison, your role will be to ensure that all guests are treated with the utmost care and professionalism throughout their safari journey. Your primary duties will include:

  • Handling Guest Communication: You will be responsible for managing all guest inquiries and concerns, both pre- and post-travel. This includes emergency after-hours support, ensuring that any urgent issues are addressed promptly and efficiently.
  • Reservations Management: You’ll be tasked with managing high-end safari reservations, ensuring that every detail of the trip is perfectly tailored to meet the guests’ needs. You will liaise with various stakeholders such as camps, lodges, and transport providers to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Building Relationships: A key part of your role will be to develop and nurture relationships with guests, understanding their preferences, and providing personalized service that exceeds expectations.
  • Problem-Solving: You will need to be resourceful and proactive in resolving any issues that arise, ensuring that the guest’s experience is as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
  • Administrative Duties: You will manage administrative tasks related to guest bookings, itineraries, and feedback. This requires excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure that no aspect of the guest’s journey is overlooked.

Requirements for the Role:

To succeed in this role, Wild Dreams Hospitality is looking for someone with the following qualifications and skills:

  • Education: A minimum of a matric certificate is required. However, a qualification in travel and tourism will be a significant advantage.
  • Experience: At least five years of senior-level experience in high-end safari reservations is essential. Previous work in luxury guest relations, inbound tourism, and promotion will set you apart.
  • Wildlife Passion: A genuine love for wildlife, conservation, and sustainable tourism is crucial. This role requires someone who is not only passionate about travel but also about protecting Africa’s natural heritage.
  • Communication Skills: Fluency in English is a must, and the ability to speak a foreign language is a bonus. You must be comfortable engaging with guests from diverse backgrounds.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in MS Office and relevant travel management software (such as TourPlan) is required. Strong administrative and IT skills will help you stay organized and efficient.
  • Personal Qualities: We’re looking for someone who is highly organized, creative, and consistent in their work. The ideal candidate will be confident, outgoing, and able to maintain a positive, energetic attitude in high-pressure situations. You must also be well-presented and professional, as you will be representing the company.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: You must be a natural problem solver, capable of thinking on your feet and paying excellent attention to detail.
  • Travel Experience: Having personal and professional travel experience across Southern and Eastern Africa is highly valued. You should be familiar with the region, its cultures, and its logistics.
