Position Summary
Wits RHI is seeking a meticulous and proactive Data Capturer to coordinate data processing and management activities within fixed healthcare facilities and mobile units. The primary purpose of this role is to develop and implement standard operating procedures, oversee data capturing processes, and ensure data quality through careful analysis and management. Key Responsibilities
As a Data Capturer, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Data Collection and PID Generation: You will collect patient data from clients and generate Patient Identification Numbers (PIDs). Your attention to detail will ensure that all information is accurately recorded and processed.
- Patient Data Reception: Collaborate with clinicians to receive patient data for capturing. This collaboration is essential for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Data Quality Assurance: Identify missing data, inconsistencies, and errors in the information collected. You will be responsible for following up on missing data or reporting errors to the relevant parties, ensuring the integrity of the data.
- Confidential Information Management: Safeguard patient confidentiality by meticulously capturing sensitive information. You will compare data entered with source documents, making necessary corrections to ensure accuracy.
- Data Cleaning: Conduct regular data cleaning to maintain the quality of the data set. This process involves identifying and rectifying inaccuracies or duplicates.
- Regular Data Backups: Perform routine backups of data to prevent loss and ensure that information is always retrievable.
- Daily Reporting: Generate and report on daily statistics using platforms such as RedCap and WhatsApp, providing valuable insights to the team.

- Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support, including copying, faxing, filing, and archiving documents.
