Key Responsibilities:
As a CNC Lathe Turning Artisan, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- CNC Programming and Operation:
You will be responsible for programming and operating the CNC lathe to manufacture various components. Your expertise in CNC programming will ensure that our production processes are efficient and accurate. - Reading and Interpreting Drawings:
A key part of your role will be to read and understand mechanical drawings. You will plan and execute tasks as outlined in these drawings, ensuring that all specifications are met. - Quality Assurance:
Maintaining high-quality standards is essential. You will be tasked with ensuring that all manufactured components meet the required tolerances and quality benchmarks. Your attention to detail will help prevent defects and ensure that we deliver only the best to our customers. - Time Management:

Qualifications and Requirements:
To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Educational Background:
A minimum of a Grade 12 qualification is required. Additionally, you must be a qualified Artisan in Toolmaking or Fitting and Turning. This educational foundation is essential for understanding complex machining processes. - Experience:
Candidates should have 2 to 5 years of experience in a machining or toolmaking environment, with at least 2 years specifically in CNC programming and machining. This experience will provide you with the skills needed to excel in this role. - Computer Literacy:
Proficiency in computer applications is a must. Your ability to navigate CNC software and other relevant programs will be critical for programming and operating the lathe. - Language Skills:
Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) is required. Proficiency in Afrikaans is a plus but not mandatory. - Driver’s License:
A valid Code 8 driver’s license is required, as you may need to operate company vehicles for work-related tasks.
