Key Responsibilities
As a Business Development Specialist, you will be at the forefront of expanding the company’s footprint in the automotive industry. Your role will involve identifying new business opportunities, fostering partnerships, and executing strategies that drive business growth. Key responsibilities include:
- Expanding Business Opportunities: Actively seek out and promote new contracts with fleet and rental companies, helping the business grow its client base and market presence.
- Government Liaison: Collaborate with government departments to facilitate RT57 tenders and ensure the company remains compliant with regulations while exploring potential partnerships.
- Supporting Strategic Projects: Play a key role in supporting various projects aligned with the company’s goals, ensuring their successful execution and contributing to business objectives.
- Building EV Relationships: Engage with potential business partners to explore future electric vehicle (EV) initiatives, fostering relationships that will help the company stay at the forefront of automotive innovation.
- Promoting Products: Increase the company’s visibility by promoting its products to corporate clients, ultimately driving sales and market penetration.
- Participating in Strategy Meetings: Join monthly strategic meetings to discuss market trends, business performance, and upcoming opportunities, providing valuable input to the company’s leadership team.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze business and production data to monitor portfolio performance, prepare feedback reports, and stay informed about industry trends and developments.
- Customer Relationship Management: Work closely with key customers and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) to ensure smooth communication, resolve service issues, and maintain strong relationships.
- Business Opportunity Identification: Stay ahead of market changes by identifying new business opportunities and tracking industry trends that can contribute to the company’s growth.
- Achieving Targets: Collaborate with your team to achieve the company’s monthly and yearly sales and performance targets, implementing strategic plans that drive results.
- Key Client Retention and Expansion: Focus on retaining and expanding relationships with key clients, ensuring long-term partnerships that contribute to the company’s success.
- Forecasting and Strategic Advice: Provide insights on market conditions, risks, and opportunities to inform volume forecasts and guide strategic decision-making.
- Presentations and Networking: Conduct presentations to clients, partners, and stakeholders, and develop a professional network that supports the company’s objectives related to profitability, growth, and market share.
- Contract Management: Assist with proofreading contracts and agreements to ensure they are accurate and comply with company standards and legal requirements.
- Administrative Support: Take and distribute minutes of meetings to ensure proper documentation and follow-up on action items. Provide translation services when needed during business events.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this exciting role, you must meet the following requirements:
