As an Africa Safari Expert, you’ll be at the heart of creating bespoke travel packages tailored to customers’ interests, from luxurious game lodges to thrilling wildlife safaris across Africa. Key Responsibilities:

• Sales and Client Management: You will be responsible for converting leads into booked safari experiences. This involves understanding the unique needs of each client, offering personalized advice, and creating custom itineraries to ensure their safari is an unforgettable experience. Your role will involve nurturing long-term relationships with clients and offering exceptional after-sales support.
• Safari Expertise: Leveraging your in-depth knowledge of African safari destinations, you’ll guide clients in selecting the best safari locations, accommodations, and activities. You’ll be the go-to expert for offering insider tips on everything from spotting the Big Five to advising on the best times of the year to visit specific regions.
• Travel Coordination: You’ll handle all logistical aspects of safari planning, including flight bookings, accommodation reservations, transportation, and activity coordination. You’ll ensure that every aspect of the client’s journey is seamless, from the moment they step off the plane to when they leave Africa.
• Customer Service Excellence: Exceptional customer service is key to this role. You’ll work closely with clients before, during, and after their trips, ensuring all their needs are met. Your proactive communication will ensure any issues are addressed promptly, leading to a stress-free, enjoyable safari experience.
• Collaboration and Teamwork: Although this is a hybrid role, you’ll be working closely with a team of travel experts, operations staff, and local partners to deliver a top-notch experience. Team collaboration will be crucial, especially when dealing with complex travel itineraries.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• 5+ Years of Travel Experience, Specifically in African Safaris: You should have a strong background in selling African safaris, with a proven track record of creating tailor-made travel experiences. This experience will allow you to understand the diverse needs of clients and deliver experiences that exceed their expectations.
• Communication Skills: You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. You’ll need to articulate ideas clearly, both when speaking with clients and when liaising with team members or suppliers.
• Organizational Skills and Attention to Detail: In a role where every detail counts, from coordinating transport between remote lodges to securing permits for unique experiences, top-notch organizational skills are essential. You’ll need to handle multiple tasks efficiently without letting anything slip through the cracks.
• Sales-Driven and Customer-Centric: A key part of this job is driving sales. You need to be a natural at selling luxury safari experiences and have a customer-first mindset, ensuring each client’s experience is truly memorable. Your ability to close deals, while maintaining a client-focused approach, will be crucial.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Africa safaris often involve navigating logistical challenges in remote locations. You must be quick-thinking and solutions-oriented, capable of handling any situation that arises during the planning process or even while clients are on the ground.
• Self-Management: This role requires a lot of independence and the ability to manage your time effectively. You’ll often be working remotely, so being able to stay focused and organized without direct supervision is critical.
