Position Details:
As a Junior Accountant, your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Sage Bookkeeping: You will learn how to maintain financial records using Sage accounting software, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
• Credit Management: Manage the credit accounts of clients, ensuring timely payments and follow-ups when necessary.
• Debt Management: Assist in managing debts owed to the company, helping to create strategies for collection.
• Bank Reconciliations: Regularly reconcile bank statements with company records to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
• VAT Submissions: Help in preparing and submitting Value Added Tax (VAT) returns in compliance with South African regulations.
• Inter-company Transactions: Assist in managing financial transactions that occur between different branches or subsidiaries of the company.

Skills & Experience:

• No prior work experience is necessary for this position, making it an ideal role for fresh graduates.
• A willingness to learn and grow in the field of accounting is essential.

Qualifications:

• A BCom Degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
