Overview:

Our client, a prestigious luxury lodge located in the beautiful area of Bela Bela, Limpopo, is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and skilled Banqueting and Reservations Coordinator. This role is crucial as you will be the welcoming face for our guests, making sure they have an enjoyable experience from the moment they arrive. Your primary responsibilities will include managing group bookings, conference arrangements, and special events, all while ensuring that our guests receive top-notch food and beverage service during their stay.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Communication:
    Act as the main point of contact for guests and the Central Reservations team, working to optimize revenue while delivering an outstanding level of service.
  • Booking Management:
    Oversee all aspects of group and function bookings. Your role will involve coordinating with various departments to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Anticipate Needs:
    Proactively identify and fulfill guests’ needs to create exceptional experiences. Strive to make every moment memorable for our guests.
  • Guest Satisfaction:
    Maintain a high standard of guest satisfaction by providing attentive service and promptly addressing any requests or concerns that may arise.
  • Relationship Building:
    Develop and nurture positive relationships with guests and colleagues, embodying the lodge’s culture and values in every interaction.

Requirements:

  • Educational Background:
    A minimum of a Matric certificate is required; having further education in Hospitality Management will be considered a significant advantage.
  • Experience:
    At least three years of experience in the hospitality sector, with a demonstrated track record of excellence in service delivery.
  • Technical Skills:
    Proficiency in OPERA PMS (Property Management System) is essential for this role.
  • Communication Skills:
    Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are a must, along with strong customer service abilities.
  • Presentation Skills:
    You should feel comfortable leading site tours, educational sessions, and meetings, presenting information in a confident and professional manner.
  • Identification and License:
    A valid South African ID and a driver’s license would be beneficial, enhancing your ability to perform the role effectively.
  • Personal Attributes:
    We are looking for a dynamic self-starter with strong negotiation skills, who is dedicated to providing high-quality service. A strong sense of teamwork and professionalism is essential.
  • Computer Skills:
    Must possess strong computer skills, allowing you to manage reservations and administrative tasks efficiently.
