Position Overview

Life Healthcare is seeking an RFA Operator to join the Black Rock Clinic in the Northern Cape. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Occupational Therapist with functional assessments in the RFA Centre and managing the administrative aspects, including data capturing, coordination, and quality assurance of reports and statistics. This position requires a person who is deadline-driven, has excellent organizational skills, and is proactive in improving processes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist with RFA Centre Operations:
  • Provide assistance to the Occupational Therapist in conducting functional assessments.
  • Maintain an efficient tracking and filing system for RFA-related documents.
  1. Data Management and Reporting:
  • Regularly communicate with internal stakeholders such as clinic sisters, operational managers, and clients.
  • Conduct monthly audits to ensure the accuracy of captured data.
  • Investigate and resolve statistical errors, queries, and complaints, implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure quality assurance and accuracy in all data, reports, and statistics.
  1. Administrative Support:
  • Assist with booking appointments for assessments.
  • Handle ad hoc tasks as required, demonstrating strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  1. Continuous Improvement:
  • Use logical thinking and initiative to propose new ideas that improve workflows and processes.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer orientation and work effectively within a team.

Requirements

  • Matric qualification.
  • Relevant nursing qualifications (ENA, EN, or Basic Ambulance Assistant registered with the HPSCA) – non-negotiable.
  • Proof of RFA trainingnon-negotiable.
  • Current registration with HPSCA, CPD, and SANC.
  • First Aid Training required.
  • Certificates in Audiometry, Spirometry, and Vision Screening are advantageous.
  • Strong skills in Advanced MS Excel (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, graphs) and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Valid Driver’s License (Code 8) and own accommodation are required.
  • Experience in a similar administrative or healthcare environment is essential.
  • Excellent administration skills and attention to detail.
