Position Overview
Life Roseacres Hospital seeks an experienced Hospital Manager to oversee all hospital operations, manage growth initiatives, and enhance patient care standards. Reporting to the Regional Manager – Inland South, this role requires a strategic leader to execute Life Healthcare’s operational objectives, meet financial targets, and ensure compliance with quality metrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Marketing Strategy and Growth:
- Develop a marketing strategy aligned with Life Healthcare’s (LHC) business plan.
- Address target market needs and monitor competitor strategies.
- Drive community engagement and increase hospital visibility.
- Financial Management:
- Prepare and oversee annual budgets, ensuring financial goals are met.
- Manage revenue, costs, and overheads to maximize profitability.
- Identify and analyze financial trends and implement corrective actions.
- Operations Management:
- Oversee daily hospital operations, maintaining quality patient care standards.
- Address gaps and risks through coordination with heads of departments.
- Lead doctor attraction and retention efforts, supporting the Medical Advisory Committee’s work.
- Quality and Compliance:
- Implement and monitor quality metrics and complaint management systems.
- Retain ISO certification and ensure compliance with clinical benchmarks.
- Lead quality initiatives related to patient care and operational excellence.
- People Management:
- Exhibit visible leadership aligned with LHC values and operating strategies.
- Manage the hospital MANCO team, driving strategic goal achievement.
- Foster a positive work environment, recruit, and develop hospital staff.
- Governance and Risk Management:
- Promote sound business ethics, risk management, and transparent control systems.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
Requirements
- Educational Background: Relevant degree in business or healthcare (postgraduate qualification preferred).
- Experience: Demonstrated leadership in healthcare management, including financial oversight and business planning.
- Knowledge: Understanding of the private healthcare industry, legislative requirements, and healthcare service challenges.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with healthcare terminology, equipment, and computer proficiency.
